Vitrium Systems updates web-based protectedpdf Small Business Edition

Vitrium Systems has updated its protectedpdf Small Business Edition and has it available for a free trial at the company web site.

The completely web-based application empowers content providers of books, magazines, white papers, reports and data sheet to define and modify reader access rights to their delivered content. Vitrium offers PDF protection that does not require readers to use third-party software to view files.

‘From sensitive research reports to educational materials, PDF technology is the standard used for digital publishing, and protectedpdf gives content owners the tools they need to distribute their information while retaining control of their valuable content,’ said Peter Nieforth, Co-founder and CEO of Vitrium.

protectedpdf gives users actionable data in terms of who is viewing the document, when the document is being shared, and offers a Readers Access Log to track PDF activity. Users can also define the number of computers able to access a document.

Users can also modify and revoke reader permissions — even after a document has been distributed. The web-based system also gives users the ability to disable text copying and document printing.

protectedpdf was built on the Microsoft SharePoint platform. For information on the web-based system and the free trial users can visit the official website.
