Ubiquitous PDF: New OS X Lion review eBook available

Since I’ve been waxing lyrical about commercial electronic books this week, it’s only fitting that this week’s Ubiquitous PDF item relates to just such an eBook.

Indeed, Ars Technica has released a paid version of John Siracusa’s 27,000-word review of Mac OS X Lion. Of course, if you’re feeling thrifty, you can always read the whole thing online, but buying a copy of the paid version will go towards supporting the continued production of ‘longform, in-depth content’ on the site.

You can support the site and get your very own copy of Siracusa’s review in one of two ways: either buy the Kindle version from Amazon.com for $4.99 US, or as part of a $50 US annual subscription to Are Technica. Since this site is ‘Planet PDF’ and not ‘Planet Kindle’, I feel obliged to plug the subscription option over the Kindle version, as it gives provides access to a combined archive that includes PDF, ePUB, and MOBI versions of the review. The subscription also grants access to PDF versions of the site’s feature articles, so we at the Planet PDF team approve of that as well.

The curious can check out subscriptions at the Ars Technica website.
