Web search powerhouse Google is sponsoring a US qualifying event for the World Puzzle Championship 2005, to be held in Hungary this October. The rules of the competition state that participants have two and a half hours to answer as many questions as possible, and that hopefuls have until June 16 to enter.
Two winners will bag themselves spots in the international competition with the reigning world champ, Team USA. One of those may be going to Roger Barkin — 2003’s Google US Puzzle Championship runner-up and 2004’s winner. Not sure you’re up to the challenge? Both the 2005 practice test and complete 2004 test are still available in (what else?) PDF.
