This Week in PDF: Tool for repairing corrupted PDF files released

This week in PDF has seen the release of a tool for repairing corrupted PDF files, along with updates to a PDF reader and a PDF preflight tool.

First up, SysTools Group has launched a new product for repairing PDF documents. SysTools PDF Recovery Tool is targeted at non-technical users, and allows them to recover data from damaged files that would be otherwise inaccessible. For more information, check out the official product webpage.

In update news, Foxit Corporation has updated its free PDF reader. Foxit Reader 4.3 includes various bug-fixes and adds support for viewing PDF documents embedded in HTML files. To read more, or to download a free copy of the software, visit the Foxit website.

Last but not least, Zevrix Solutions has announced an update to its PDF preflighting software. PDF Checkpoint 1.3 can be used to automatically preflight, export as images, split and optimize multiple PDF files.
