This week in PDF has seen an update to a developer solution for print job delivery, the announcement of a limited offer for existing Dynagram customers to receive free access to PDF imposition functionality, and the signing of a business alliance partnership.
First up, Datalogics has announced the immediate availability of Adobe PDF JobReady 3.1. Developers can use it as the print job delivery mechanism for their print workflow applications. The latest release adds support for building print workflow clients that can be deployed automatically using Microsoft Installer (MSI) packaged-based installation. In other news, Dynagram has announced an offer for existing customers of its INposition and INposition Lite for QuarkXPress products. For a limited time, these customers are eligible to receive a free copy of Dynagram’s PDF-based inpO2 Wizard imposition software for Adobe Acrobat. Additionally, INposition 6.X+ customers can also add other modules at a significant discount. The inpO2 Wizard allows users to impose PDF pages into plate-ready layouts common sheet-fed jobs. Finally, the last week has seen a business pact inked between XyEnterprise and Letterpart Limited. Letterpart chose to represent XPP, XyEnterprise’s XML Professional Publishing software, an automated XML publishing engine for paginated PDF output. Specifically, Letterpart will conduct various promotional activities over the coming months to introduce XyEnterprise’s services to the UK market.
