This week in PDF has seen the announcement of a PDF/A Conference, an update to a PDF imposition tool, and the release of localized versions of a free application for creating and viewing PDF documents.
First up, the PDF/A Competence Center has announced that it will hold its fourth International PDF/A Conference in Rome from September 29th to October 1st. The conference will offer technical presentations by international experts and tracks for various PDF/A topics and areas of interest, along with workshops for practical applications of PDF/A. Users from corporations and public institutions will report their experiences with PDF/A. The conference will also include a companion exhibition that will showcase PDF/A-related products. In other news, Dynagram has announced an update for its inpO2 imposition solution for Adobe Acrobat 8 and 9. Version 3.6.2 includes enhanced PDF support, along with expanded features for automation. The new edition also allows the addition of custom color bars to the inpO2 Wizard, and enhanced Step and Repeat functions now include a custom flatwork option for the Wizard and Automation. Finally, Nitro PDF Software has released localized language versions of its brand-spanking-new Nitro PDF Reader. The free application for creating and viewing PDFs is now available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch versions, and can be downloaded from the official Nitro PDF Reader website.
