This week in PDF: iPhone app adds PDF scanning and copying

This week in PDF has seen an update to an established suite of PDF tools and the addition of scan-to-PDF functionality to an iPhone app.

First up, PDF Tools AG has released Version 3.3 of the Classic PDF Tools. The tools in the product suite have existed in one form or another for more than 15 years. The bundle comprises PDF Batch Stamp Tool, PDF Command Line Suite, PDF Form Filling & Flattening Tool and PDF Prep Tool Suite, and the newest version features expanded platform support and security enhancements. For more on the latest version, or to purchase the product online, check out the official PDF Tools website.

In other news, Cortado has updated its free iPhone business app with a raft of new features. The new version comes with 1 GB of online storage space, cloud printing functions, and can function as a PDF scanner and copier. The latest version allows iPhone users to scan documents using the iPhone camera and automatically converts the images into PDF files. PDFs can then be saved to the online storage space, sent as an e-mail, or printed on a local or network printer. For more information, check out Cortado’s website.

That’s it for this week. Watch this space!
