Adobe launches Creative Suite 3

Adobe this week announced the release of its upgraded applications for creative and graphics professionals in the form of Adobe Creative Suite 3.0. The upgraded apps in the suite release include: Photoshop CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, InDesign CS3, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, and After Effects CS3. The company also added improvements to Adobe Bridge CS3.

Moonshine2: The art of Scripting to make your own Distillery

Nick Hodge from Adobe’s Pacific division wrote Moonshine script to use the PDF rendering engine of Photoshop to generate JPEGs for web-site publication and client review. Rather than re-generate smaller PDFs, the original Moonshine asked Photoshop to open the PDFs, and render a JPEG from the first page. Moonshine2 updates this to work with Photoshop CS’s JavaScript engine.
