Quite Software releases Quite Imposing Plus 2.0

Lochawe, Scotland-based developer Quite Software has announced the release of version 2.0 of its well-known desktop imposition product. Quite Imposing Plus 2.0 offers a swag of new features, including support for Acrobat 7 on Windows and Mac, the use of XML to describe imposition tasks, Bates Stamping, n-up centering and PDF/X.

In addition, Quite Imposing Plus 2.0 now includes Automation Sequences, under the name ‘Imposition By Example.’ ‘We had been seeking a way to allow more automation of impositions, without compromising the flexibility and accessibility that our Quite Imposing Plus plug-in provides,’ says founder Aandi Inston. ‘We feel that our idea of ‘imposition by example’ satisfies this. Every time you make an imposed PDF, all the steps you take are stored in the PDF file as XML. We can play that back, any time, on any other PDF – so the first, working, PDF becomes an example for every future one.’

Quite Imposing Plus 2.0 is currently available. Trial versions can be downloaded from the Quite website.
