Germany-based PixelPlanet GmbH has announced its release of PdfGrabber 4.0 which enables users to now extract text, images and vectors from an existing PDF document and save them in multiple file formats including: Excel, RTF/Word, DXF/CAD, XML, PowerPoint and ASCII text.
PdfGrabber 4.0 does not require Adobe Acrobat and the latest version includes optimization for dealing with rotated text during Excel exports, TIFF multipage format capability for exporting and archiving images and gives users the ability to include image information with XML output.
The solution is offered in three editions including: PdfGrabber Home, PdfGrabber Standard and PdfGrabber Professional.
PdfGrabber 4.0 Home runs $45 and is designed for converting PDFs into Word or text format.
PdfGrabber 4.0 Standard is targeted at SMBs and is priced at $90 and enables data to be exported in Excel, saves images and lets users define export areas using a frame.
PdfGrabber 4.0 Professional is priced at $142 and is of optimal use for professionals wanting to use all the aforementioned functionality with the added features of DXF/AutoCad, PowerPoint and XML formats.
The company is offering a free trial version of PdfGrabber 4.0 on the company Web site. The program enters x characters at random places in the exported text but otherwise has no restrictions, according to the company.
