Carl Young Training Associates (CYTA) is launching a new series of Web-based seminars on Adobe Acrobat — aka PDF Webinars — to extend the reach of its existing Acrobat training programs to ‘the comfort of your computer.’ Anyone with a high-speed internet connection and phone can now actively participate in limited-size, one-hour training classes on a variety of specific topics or applications led by experts. Carl Young is the founder and producer of the popular PDF Conference, slated for its 10th incarnation in the Washington DC-area in late September.
Currently scheduled Webinars, which will begin March 29, are:
- Creating Acrobat Forms, Part 1
- Creating Acrobat Forms, Part 2
- Creating Acrobat Forms, Part 3
- Creating Forms with Adobe LiveCycle Designer, Part 1
- Creating Forms with Adobe LiveCycle Designer, Part 2
- Moving to Acrobat 7
- Creating Interactive PDFs using Acrobat 7
- Mastering Acrobat’s Print-specific Features
- Creating 508 Compatible PDFs
- Creating 508 Compatible PDF Forms
Additional classes will be added and will include other Adobe software programs. Registration for the PDF Webinars is now live. Download a detailed description of courses [PDF: 60kb] from the CYTA Web site.
The cost per session is $129, with group rates also available. Class size is limited to 25 participants to make the experience more personal and to allow live demonstrations (not static slides) of techniques being discussed. CYTA will also offer customized Webinars on request, tailoring content to the specific needs of an organization.
The computer/toll-free telephone format offers generous opportunities for interaction with the expert trainer — including several planned Q&A sessions among online attendees and the capability for private feedback throughout a class session. Following the completion of a particular Webinar, attendees will receive a training manual and sample files used in that class.
