Leading Design Firm Adopts Bluebeam Pushbutton Plus

Top 100 design firm David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) has settled on Bluebeam Software’s Pushbutton Plus solution in order to allow employees to share CAD and other documents with clients, vendors, associates and reprographers. The move allows DEA employees to convert their CAD and Windows files to one of seven file formats including PDF, TIF, JPG, BMP, PNG, PSD, and PXL.

According to John O’Brien, Director of Information Services at DEA, ‘We evaluated a number of PDF solutions and selected Bluebeam’s Pushbutton Plus because its features were clearly designed with an AEC firm in mind. Our technical users have all the advanced features they need to convert complicated AutoCAD drawings to PDF, TIF or JPG, while our other associates can use Pushbutton Plus to easily convert Windows Office documents to secure files that they can easily share by e-mail.’

Bluebeam’s specialized technology is designed to deliver high quality drawing output from AutoCAD, and includes features such as enhanced FTP, e-mail and printing capabilities that seamlessly integrate with an AEC firm’s workflow.
