FormRouter announced last week announced a new subscription pricing schedule for its LiveCycle Reader Extensions Service. The service allows subscribing organizations to deploy individual PDF forms with advanced usage rights such as digital signatures functionality and the ability to fill and save them offline.
In October, 2004, FormRouter became the first PDF Application Service Provider (ASP) licensed by Adobe to activate PDF usage rights in Adobe Reader as a fee-based service. ‘Market reaction to our LiveCycle Reader Extensions service has been strong, however the one-price-fits-all approach has kept many small and medium sized organizations from realizing the power of rights enabled PDF forms,’ said Chris M. Pieper, CEO and Chairman for FormRouter. ‘With our new subscription pricing options, LiveCycle Reader Extensions unlocks now start at under $500.’
Part of the Adobe Intelligent Document Platform, the cost of LiveCycle Reader Extensions caused a stir, as it had priced small and medium companies out of the market. At the time, there had been a call for service providers of this nature, so this offering had been sorely needed. The new pricing schedule is good news for smaller organizations for whom the bottom line remains the primary consideration.
