Debenu releases free edition of flagship plug-in

Planet PDF and ARTS PDF are divisions of Debenu.

Debenu has released a free version of its powerful PDF-manipulation Acrobat plug-in, ARTS PDF Aerialist X. ARTS PDF Aerialist Lite allows users to freely split, merge and stamp PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat.

Specifically, the Lite version can be used to split either individual PDFs or batches of documents into separate files with an equal, user-defined number of pages per file. Users can also add their own text or image-based stamps either above (i.e., as an overlay) or beneath (i.e., as an underlay) text.

‘It splits, it merges, it stamps, it works with Acrobat 8, 9 and X, it hooks into Acrobat’s batch processing — gee whiz, is there anything it doesn’t do,’ pondered Susana De Abrew, Director of ARTS PDF, ‘but — now that I think about it, there is one thing it doesn’t do. It doesn’t cost anything!’

Users can also upgrade to one of the free product’s commercial siblings for more advanced functionality, including splitting according to bookmarks, retaining original links between split output files, or applying Bates or page numbers to PDF documents.

You can find out more about ARTS PDF Aerialist Lite, Aerialist X and Aerialist X Pro on the ARTS PDF website.
