Dalim Software and Xitron Partner to Provide Linux-Based RIP

Dalim Software and Xitron, Inc. have announced a partnership that will offer Xitron’s Navigator RIP for Linux to Dalim Software customers. The collaboration will allow Dalim Software’s network of resellers to better supply and integrate Xitron Navigator Linux TIFF RIP into DALiM TWiST systems, as the RIP is now available from certified Dalim dealers.

Based on Global Graphics’ Harlequin PostScript 3 interpreter, Xitron’s Navigator RIP offers reliable conversion of PostScript 3 and PDF 1.4 files with transparency, support for Certified PDF and compatibility with proofing systems. In addition, other features are available via the inclusion of optional modules.

The news comes hot on the heels of DOTDRiVE’s recent release, which is a RIP interface tool controlling RIP output parameters directly from the DALiM TWiST workflow.

‘Some of our customers have asked us about integrating a Linux-based RIP along with the Linux version of DALiM TWiST,’ says Stéphane Georges, Dalim Software Product Manager. ‘By combining the Xitron Navigator RIP with our recently-launched DOTDRiVE tool our channel partners can provide a complete ‘workflow through to output’ solution with DALiM TWiST. Xitron provides our resellers with an exceptional RIP and outstanding support for any RIP issue our customers might encounter.’
