Cerience announces RepliGo Reader

Cerience Corporation announced the beta version of RepliGo Reader, its native PDF viewing application for BlackBerry smartphones from Research in Motion.

The PDF viewer offers desktop-like viewing of native PDF files that are stored on the handset or downloaded. Users can read documents on their phone regardless of available wireless coverage.

In addition, the company stated the applications integrates with the upcoming features of the BlackBerry wireless platform, enabling native PDF email attachments to be downloaded and viewed at will.

‘PDF is the defacto standard for distributing information and is overwhelmingly the most popular format with our customers,’ said Dave Formanek, VP of Product Development at Cerience. ‘RepliGo Reader is a great complement to our product line. For the first time ever, users can take native PDF documents with them on their Blackberry smartphone and read them wherever they travel.’

A preview version of the RepliGo Reader is going to be demonstrated during the Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2008, and the company said the beta reader is available on an on invitation-only basis and those interested in participating in the beta can sign up at Cerience.com.
