Bluebeam tweaks PDF Revu

Bluebeam Software announced the release of Bluebeam PDF Revu 5.5.

Richard Lee, President and CEO of Bluebeam said, ‘As Bluebeam continues to develop innovative PDF application tools, our customers are discovering the power of PDF in an electronic workflow. With each new release, Bluebeam makes it easier to work natively in PDF.’

With 5.5 Bluebeam introduces MultiView and Dynamic Default, its proprietary technology for boosted PDF rendering, navigation and markeup, according to Lee.

MultiView displays multiple PDF documents at once and enables panning and zooming in unison. Dynamic Default automatically remembers settings such as color, font and line thickness for easier PDF markup.

This release also offers users a new suite of advanced text editing tools which add, delete and modify text in the PDF content stream for permanent text changes, while the text reviewing feature marks PDF documents with common proofreading annotations.

The latest release also offers compatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista, as well as AutoCAD 2008 and SolidWorks 2006-2007 through Bluebeam PDF Revu CAD Edition.
