ARTS PDF launches Stratify for PDF layer creation, control

ARTS PDF recently
announced the release of the first and only tool for
creating, inserting, editing and controlling PDF layers in
Acrobat. HREF=’’>ARTS
PDF Stratify enables technical professionals to prepare
easy-to-use layered drawings and diagrams, and allows
creative professionals to quickly proof and preview different
versions of a design from the one, layered page.

‘Layer creation is no longer limited to PDFs that have
come from high-end design tools like Adobe InDesign CS and
Adobe Illustrator CS,’ said Maryanne Montes, Product Manager,
ARTS PDF. ‘Stratify makes it possible to create layers in
PDFs created from any application, including Microsoft Word,
QuarkXPress, FreeHand, FrameMaker and CAD applications.’

Stratify provides tools to select any text or graphics on
a page, and then turn them into their own PDF layer in
Acrobat Professional and Standard. Engineers and architects,
for example, can take existing designs and drawings — with
each layer of a set of drawings stored as an individual page
— and easily convert them into one, layered page.
