The Adobe Acrobat & PDF Conference, (www.pdf2005.com) hosted by American Graphics Institute (AGI), will be held April 20-21, 2005 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. Adobe Systems, returning as the event’s gold sponsor, will deliver a keynote presentation. Other top PDF software developers and well-known PDF experts are scheduled to speak and exhibit; the conference includes more than 25 educational sessions organized into three separate tracks: Management Track, Technical Track, and the User Track.
‘The conference brings together a great line-up of speakers and exhibitors, and the location in the heart of Walt Disney World in Orlando adds to its appeal,’ says Christopher Smith, AGI President. ‘This is the first opportunity for PDF users, developers and IT professionals to get an in-depth look at Acrobat 7 and the updated PDF file format,’ said Smith.
Pre-conference training sessions, providing in-depth technical training for software developers, technical professionals and end-users, will be offered April 19. The conference’s exhibit area will offer attendees a chance to meet the various sponsors and learn more about their products and services. Joining Adobe Systems as event sponsors are PDF software developers Appligent, ScanSoft, and Acrobat training and consulting firm AGI Training.
‘We’ve worked hard to create a conference that appeals to management, technology professionals and Acrobat users alike,’ says Smith. ‘Whether attendees are looking to deploy PDF as a standard across their enterprise or are looking to learn in-depth technical skills, we have the sessions for them. Many of the sessions focus on the new capabilities of Adobe Acrobat version 7, the new PDF forms tools it includes and the new server products. We also have expanded sessions for graphics professionals on how to successfully use PDF for print and prepress.’
‘We’ve received valuable input on the content of this year’s event from Ted Padova, author of The Acrobat PDF Bible, and also from Leonard Rosenthol, Chief Technology Officer of PDF Sages,’ says Smith, author of numerous Acrobat- and PDF-related books and a recent contributor to the updated version of the Adobe Acrobat 7 Classroom in a Book for Adobe Press.
