AdLib OCR 1.9 released

AdLib eDocument Solutions has released the latest version of AdLib OCR, an add-on to its Automated Document Interchange (ADI) platform, AdLib eXpress. Version 1.9 of the optical character recognition software boasts a 25 percent increase in accuracy, improving zonal OCR — the process of performing OCR on specific regions of a page — and the recognition of 1-D barcodes.

‘Our clients will see significant improvement in the accuracy of the OCR process which will increase the quantity and value of the information they extract from their images.’

Scott Mackey, Product Line Manager, AdLib eDocument Solutions

In addition, the release adds support for the Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) font (A.K.A. E-13B,) which is typical on bank checks. When combined with AdLib eXpress, the OCR application provides the ability to automatically convert various image or document formats into searchable PDF and Text. These files are then ready to be indexed, searched and retrieved by an organization.

‘This release of AdLib OCR delivers more than intelligent automation’ states Scott Mackey, AdLib’s Product Line Manager ‘Our clients will see significant improvement in the accuracy of the OCR process which will increase the quantity and value of the information they extract from their images.’
