activePDF launches activePDF Toolkit 2011

activePDF has released the latest version of its component for the dynamic generation and manipulation of PDF files. activePDF Toolkit 2011 natively supports 64-bit applications, along with introducing a fully managed .NET API and support for AES-128 encryption. Other upgrades include various performance enhancements, improved support for transparent text and images and the inclusion of over 80 additional barcode symbologies.

‘We’re thrilled to announce this much-anticipated launch of activePDF Toolkit, the first of several new and exciting product releases slated for 2011,’ stated activePDF CEO, Tim Sullivan. ‘With this release, we’ve really focused our efforts on attaining the highest level of performance possible, while offering our clients additional flexibility in meeting two areas where standards-based compliance are of critical importance: encryption and barcodes. We’ve invested quite a bit of engineering effort into this release, and we’re extremely pleased with the feedback we’ve received thus far.’

The product is licensed on a per-server basis, and allows developers to automate PDF tasks such as form-filling, digital signing, appending, stamping, stitching, merging, or applying document security, along with adding PDF bookmarks.
